Lime Lodge is near Nant Glas in Powys. It's a new, detached lodge built specifically for wheelchair access. It means the whole place is level, doorways are wide, and light switches and worktops are lower. There's a portable hoist, a shower wheelchair, and an electric bed if you need them. The idea is that someone with limited mobility can manage everything here comfortably.
It sleeps eight, in four bedrooms. Every bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, which is handy. Two of them also have baths. The main living area is open plan, with a wood burner for chilly nights.
Outside there's a deck that's flush with the doors, a seating area with a gas BBQ, and a private hot tub. A ramp leads down to the lawn. There's plenty of parking.
You're about seven or eight miles from Llandrindod Wells. The nearest pub is nearly six miles away, so you'll likely drive for a meal out. The area is very rural, good for walking and fishing.
You're well placed for days out. The Elan Valley and its dams are about a 20-minute drive. The Brecon Beacons National Park is maybe half an hour. Rhayader, with its red kite feeding centre, is closer. Builth Wells, Hay-on-Wye, and Knighton on the Offa's Dyke path are all within about 30 minutes.
Facilities include a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
