This is Magpie. It's a converted barn in Llanafan fawr in Mid Wales. It's part of a small group of four cottages around a lake. It's very quiet here.
It sleeps four, but it's just the one bedroom, which is upstairs. There are two bathrooms though. One's downstairs, one's upstairs. The rating is 3 Star. It's comfortable and clean.
The living area is open plan. Downstairs has the kitchen, a dining table, and the sofa. The stairs up to the bedroom are a bit steep. That's just how it is.
Outside, you look out over the fishing lake. There's a shared games room with a console and TV, and a small golf course. There's also a shared indoor swimming pool you can use. Wi-Fi works in the cottage and in the shared areas.
The site is rural. The nearest shop is five miles away. The nearest pub and restaurant are in Builth Wells, which is about eight miles. You'll need a car.
If you want to get out, you're not far from the Elan Valley. Brecon Beacons National Park is about a 30 minute drive south. National Trust Brecon Beacons has good information for walks. For local fishing or walking routes, Visit Wales Mid Wales is useful.
Facilities: bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and a cot if needed. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
