Robin's Retreat is one of four cottages on the same site, near a place called Llanafan fawr in Mid Wales. It's very rural. You're in a quiet valley about eight miles from Builth Wells.
It's a small studio for two people. One room with a bed and living space, and a separate bathroom. It has a 3 Star rating. It's clean and functional.
The land around the cottages is shared. There's a games room with a console and TV, a small outdoor pool, and a mini golf course. There's a fishing lake on site too, for fly and coarse fishing. You get good views of it from the property. Red kites are common here, you see them circling overhead most days.
The Wi-Fi is Starlink, so it's decent even out here. It works in the cottage and the shared areas.
You're a couple of miles from the nearest pub and restaurant. A shop is about five miles away. Builth Wells has a bigger supermarket and the Royal Welsh Showground is there if there's an event on.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains. Visit Mid Wales has good information. The Elan Valley reservoirs are stunning and about a 30-minute drive. Elan Valley Trust has walking routes. Aberystwyth on the coast is about an hour away.
Facilities at the cottage: all bedding and towels included, there's a washing machine in a shared utility, a BBQ, and parking right outside. A cot is available if you need it. No pets allowed.
