This is Glen Y Nant. It's a static caravan in a field just outside New Radnor. You get the whole garden and it looks down towards a stream. It's quiet.
The caravan sleeps three. There's a double bedroom with its own toilet, and a single bedroom. The bathroom with the shower is on its own. The sofa folds out into a bed, but it's really only suitable for a child.
There are three steps up to the door, but we've put a ramp there too if that's easier.
Inside, it's what you'd expect from a caravan. Everything works. The kitchen has what you need. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.
Outside is the best bit. There's a big patio that gets the sun all day. There's a bench, some recliners, a table, a fire pit and a BBQ. The garden is fully fenced. Your dogs can run on the lawn, and they're also welcome in the big 4-acre meadow next to it where the stream runs through. There's a bird hide down there.
You're surrounded by fields here. It's good for walking straight from the door. For a proper hike, the Radnor Forest hills are right there. The National Trust Mynydd Epynt area is nearby.
In a half-hour drive you can get to Knighton, which is on the Offa's Dyke Path. Presteigne is a nice little town. Kington is good for a wander and has some shops. Further on, you've got Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells. Hay-on-Wye is about forty minutes if you want books.
There are pubs dotted about in the villages nearby: Llanfihangel, Hundred House, Titley. They all serve food.
Facilities: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. WiFi works fine. There's parking right next to the caravan. You can bring up to three dogs.
