Southside
Southside is near Richmond, in Newsham. It's a detached cottage. Sleeps five, three bedrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well looked after. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and a shower room downstairs.
The main thing about the place is the garden room at the back. It's a proper sun room with big doors that open right up. The garden itself is enclosed, so it's fine for dogs or kids. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
Inside, there's a wood burner in the living room. It works well. The stairs are a standard staircase, not too steep.
Newsham is quiet. You've got a pub about a ten minute walk away. For a shop you'll need to drive to either Richmond or Barnard Castle. Both are about a ten minute drive. Richmond has the castle and the river walks. Barnard Castle has The Bowes Museum, which is worth a visit.
You're right between the Yorkshire Dales and the North Pennines. Good walking straight from the door, or a short drive gets you into proper Dales scenery. For a full day out, the North York Moors or the coast are about an hour.
Facilities: it's got WiFi, a dishwasher, washing machine. Parking for two cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
