The Richmond is a cottage for two near West Layton. It's next to the owner's house, set in seven acres of land.
It's a five star place, so it's fitted out to a high standard. Everything's new. There's underfloor heating, so it's always warm. The main room is open plan with a big window and high ceilings. It has a large smart TV, a kitchen, and a dining table.
Upstairs is a super kingsize four-poster bed and an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a big free-standing bath with a shower over it. There's a separate dressing room too.
Outside is an enclosed patio area with a table, a firepit, and a hot tub for two.
You're about seven miles from Richmond in one direction and Barnard Castle in the other. There's a local pub a couple of miles away that does good food. A farm shop is nearby too.
For a day out, Barnard Castle has the Bowes Museum and the castle itself. Richmond is a Georgian market town. You're about thirty minutes from the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Catterick Races are close by.
Harrogate, Ripon, and York are all within an hour's drive if you want to go further.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. All bedding and towels are provided. The property is not suitable for pets.
If you're a larger group, The Richmond can be booked together with the cottage next door, The Granary, to sleep four.
