The Granary
The Granary is on our farm near West Layton. It's for two people. You get your own patio and hot tub. The views are over our fields, and you'll probably see the chickens wandering about.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's done up to a high standard. Everything's new. There's underfloor heating, a big TV in the bedroom, and a coffee machine. The main living space is upstairs. It has a high ceiling and a very large window facing the view. Blinds come down at night.
The bed is a king size. All bedding and towels are provided. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. Parking is right outside.
We're about seven miles from both Richmond and Barnard Castle. Richmond is a Georgian market town with a castle and a river. Barnard Castle has the Bowes Museum and a weekly market. There's a good pub about two miles away, and a farm shop nearby for supplies.
For walks, you're about half an hour from the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The A66 is close by, so getting around is straightforward. You can be in York or Harrogate in under an hour if you fancy a longer trip.
