Rosebank Cottage is an annexe by the main house in Melsonby. It sleeps two, in one bedroom. We had it refurbished in 2020 so it's all modern inside. There's level access and everything's on the ground floor, which is good if steps are a problem. It has grab rails in the shower.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen's at one end, sitting area at the other. It's got a dishwasher and a washing machine. The shower is a walk-in one, quite big. There's a patio area outside with a table.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The bed is a double. All bedding and towels are included.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's on-site parking.
The village pub is about three hundred yards away. It's a proper local. The nearest shop is in Richmond, about two miles down the road.
You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales here. For walks, you can start from the village itself, or it's a short drive to get into proper Dales countryside. Richmond is ten minutes away. The castle is good, and the river walk is nice. Barnard Castle is about twenty minutes in the other direction. The Bowes Museum there is worth a visit.
