Vale View
Vale View is our place in Richmond. It's a semi-detached house, two bedrooms, sleeps four. You get the whole house to yourselves, obviously.
It’s got a 3 Star rating, so as you'd expect, it's clean and comfortable but not posh. The main thing is the view from the upstairs windows. You can see right out over the Vale of York. We've got a garage with bike storage if you're bringing cycles.
It's about a ten minute walk into the town centre. Richmond's a proper market town, with a castle, decent shops, a few cafes and that. There's a pub about three quarters of a mile away, but you're better off walking into town for a choice.
For walks, you can start right from the door. The river path is good. Richmond is on the Coast to Coast path if you're doing that. It’s right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, so you can drive into Swaledale in no time. The North York Moors are about half an hour's drive east.
If you want a day out, York is under an hour south. Durham's about 35 minutes north. There's horse racing at Catterick, which is just up the road.
There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking and the garden is enclosed. We accept up to two dogs. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.
