The Knight's Watch is a first-floor apartment in Richmond. It's behind the market square, so you're right in the middle of things but it's a quiet spot.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed. The other is a super kingsize that can be split into twins if you ask when you book. Both rooms look out at the castle. There's one bathroom, with a bath and a separate walk-in shower.
It's been done up recently. It's comfortable and clean. The living space is open plan, with the kitchen and a dining area. The windows are nice, you get a view over the rooftops. There's a TV, WiFi, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
You can walk to everything. The castle is right there. The market square, shops, pubs, and restaurants are a minute's walk. The River Swale is just down the hill for a stroll.
For a longer walk, you can follow the river. It goes past The Station, which has a cinema, a cafe, and a few other bits. There's also a swimming pool there.
Richmond is a good base for the Yorkshire Dales. You can drive into Swaledale in about fifteen minutes. The Coast to Coast path comes through the town. For a day out, Barnard Castle and the Bowes Museum are about half an hour away. Durham is just over half an hour in the car.
