Castle View is in Richmond. It's a detached house up on the hill. The name is accurate. You get a good view of the castle and the river from the garden.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's a 5 Star property. That means it's well-finished and everything's in good order. It's not a quirky old cottage, it's more modern and comfortable.
The garden is enclosed and private. There's a patio area with a barbecue. You can park on the drive.
There's a pub that does food about 200 yards down the road. The town centre with shops and the market square is about half a mile walk.
You're right on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The footpaths start practically from the door. For a day out, Richmond Castle itself is worth a visit. English Heritage manage it.
Further afield, you can get to the cathedral cities of York and Ripon in under an hour. Harrogate is about the same.
Inside, it's got everything: wifi, a washing machine, dishwasher, woodburner. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets.
