Holly Cottage
This is Holly Cottage. It's a barn conversion near Richmond, a Georgian town in North Yorkshire. We're on the edge of town, next to our house. You get good views towards Richmond Castle.
It sleeps three. There's just the one bedroom and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. The ceilings are a bit low in a couple of spots. The kitchen is small but it has everything you need.
The pub is a couple of minutes walk away. They do food and proper ale. The nearest shop is about half a mile into town.
You can walk straight from the door. There are river and woodland paths. Part of Wainwright's Coast to Coast walk goes past nearby. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is about a ten-minute drive west.
Richmond itself is a proper market town. The castle is worth a look. For a day out, you can get to the coast in under an hour. Catterick racecourse is about ten minutes away. Ripon and Thirsk aren't much further if you like the races.
It has WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The heating and electricity are all sorted. No pets, sorry.
