Holly Cottage is in Richmond. It's an old barn conversion next to our house. You've got your own door and parking spot right outside.
It sleeps three. There's one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but it's an old building so expect things like low beams and thick walls. It's very quiet here.
The view from the front looks straight towards Richmond Castle. You can see it from the window. There are good walks right from the door, along the river Swale and into the woods. Part of the Coast to Coast path goes past. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is about a ten minute drive.
In town, which is half a mile down the hill, there are shops and a few places to eat. There's a pub serving food about 200 yards away. Richmond itself has the castle, a theatre, and a market square.
For days out, Catterick Racecourse is about ten minutes away by car. For historic houses, Kiplin Hall is roughly 25 minutes. The coast at Saltburn or Whitby is just over an hour if you fancy that.
Inside there's a washing machine, a shower, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
