Halfehill Cottage
Halfehill Cottage is on the edge of Richmond. It's one of a row of stone cottages right by the River Swale.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. The standard is good, it's been done up well. It's comfy and clean.
The big thing here is the walking. You can get straight onto the local paths from the door, including the Pennine Way. Walking east along the river to the ruins of Easby Abbey is a good one. Richmond itself is about a ten minute walk up the hill. The market square and the castle are up there. Shops and pubs are about 100 yards away.
For a day out, the Yorkshire Dales are right there on the doorstep. Catterick Racecourse is about a ten minute drive if that's your thing. York is within an hour's drive.
Facilities wise: it's got what you need. Wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
