Brittain House is in Richmond. It's on a quiet street about a five minute walk from the market square.
It’s a three bedroom house that sleeps six. Two bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well looked after. The kitchen is big with a range cooker. The living room has an open fire, which we leave logs for.
The garden is south-west facing so you get the sun in the evening. There's a picnic bench and a barbecue. You can park right outside.
Richmond is small so you can walk everywhere. The castle is the big thing you can see from the upstairs windows. There are pubs, cafes, and some nice independent shops. The river walks start from the bottom of the town.
It's a good base for the Yorkshire Dales. The Yorkshire Dales National Park starts just outside town. The Coast to Coast path goes right through Richmond if you're walking that.
For days out, you can drive into Swaledale. Reeth and Hawes are about half an hour away. The cathedral in Durham is also just over half an hour's drive.
In terms of what's here, it has all the usual things. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
