Brittain House
Brittain House is on the edge of Richmond. It's a Georgian townhouse, right by the castle. You get a view of the castle walls from the front windows.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom. That bedroom also has a sofa bed if you need it. It's a five star place, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The stairs are normal.
You're a five minute walk from the market square. The river is just down the hill. You can park the car on site and not use it again if you don't want to. There are plenty of pubs, cafes, and shops nearby. The castle is the main thing. Richmond Castle is run by English Heritage.
The property has an open fire in the living room. The kitchen has a range cooker and a dishwasher. There's a washing machine too. Outside there's a garden with a picnic bench and a BBQ. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
For walking, you're at the start of the Yorkshire Dales. The Coast to Coast path goes through the town. Richmond is inside the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For a swim or a gym session, there's a leisure centre with a pool in town.
Within half an hour you can drive into Swaledale, or go to places like Leyburn or Reeth. Catterick racecourse is about ten minutes away. Further afield, Durham is just over half an hour's drive.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, cot, highchair, bedding and towels included. There's bike storage. No pets.
