The Cottage at Wilson House is on our farm in Brignall. It's attached to our house, but it's self-contained. You get your own entrance and parking.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both downstairs. Each has its own bathroom with a power shower. Upstairs is the living area. It's all one open plan room: kitchen, dining table, sitting area. It's cosy. The views from up there are really nice, just fields.
Outside, there's a private courtyard with a table, chairs, a barbecue, and a hot tub. You can't see it from our side.
It's a working farm, so you'll see sheep and maybe hear tractors. There are footpaths right from the gate. You can walk for miles without seeing a road. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is on the doorstep.
The nearest pub for food is about a mile away, at Greta Bridge. Barnard Castle is five miles. It's a proper market town. The Bowes Museum is there and it's worth a visit. Richmond is about nine miles. Supermarkets will deliver here if you order online.
For a day out, Durham is under an hour's drive. The coast at Saltburn or Whitby is a bit over an hour. The Lake District is just over an hour west.
Facilities: Wifi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it. Sorry, no pets.
