The Cottage At Wilson House
The Cottage At Wilson House is on our farm in Brignall. It's on the border of County Durham and North Yorkshire. It's attached to our house, but you have your own entrance and a private courtyard.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles with en-suite showers. There's a bathrobe and towels for each guest. The living area is upstairs. It's open plan, kitchen, dining and sitting area all in one room. The stairs are normal.
Outside, there's a patio with seating, a barbecue, and a private hot tub. You look out over the fields. It's quiet. You'll see sheep. We've got plenty of storage if you bring bikes.
The nearest pub is at Greta Bridge, about a mile away. They do food. Barnard Castle is five miles for shops. Most supermarkets deliver here.
For walking, you can start right from the door. There are paths along the rivers and up onto the moors. Barnard Castle has the castle ruins and the Bowes Museum. Richmond is about a twenty minute drive. The Yorkshire Dales are on the doorstep.
Further out, you can get to Durham or York in about an hour. The Lake District is just over an hour west. The coast at Whitby or Saltburn is about an hour and a half.
The cottage has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, Wi-Fi, and parking.
