Dove Cottage
Dove Cottage is in Barnard Castle. It's on a side street about five minutes' walk from the main shops and pubs.
It's a small terraced cottage for four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating so it's clean and comfortable but not luxurious.
The garden is a patio out the front, with a table and chairs. It's not huge but it gets the sun in the afternoon.
The town centre is very close. Plenty of places to eat and drink. The cottage is right there for it.
Barnard Castle itself is the main thing here. It's an English Heritage site, right by the river. There's also the Bowes Museum, which is about a 15 minute walk away.
For bigger days out, you're on the edge of the North Pennines and not too far from the North York Moors. Both are about half an hour's drive for walking. Durham city is about 25 minutes in the car.
It's got a TV, towels and bedding are included, and there's parking for one car on the street outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
