Brandy Lodge is a detached lodge on our caravan park in Newsham. We live on site. It sleeps two, one bedroom with an en-suite. The rating is 4 Star, which covers things like the hot tub and log burner.
The lodge is open plan downstairs. Kitchen, sofa, TV. Upstairs is the bedroom and a shower. The shower is a big walk-in one with a rainfall head. There's a raised deck outside with the hot tub, a table and chairs, and a BBQ. You get a private bit of garden too. It's quiet and you'll see plenty of birds.
It's on a single track lane, about a mile and a half from the main road. That makes it easy to get to places. The village has a pub that does food, about three quarters of a mile walk. The nearest shop is in Kirby Hill, four miles.
Location wise, you're right between the Dales and the North York Moors. Richmond is about seven miles east. It's a proper market town with a castle, shops and places to eat. For walking, the Coast to Coast path is nearby. Barnard Castle is about a twenty minute drive.
Further out, the Lake District is around 40 minutes by car if you head west. Heading east, you can get to the Yorkshire coast, places like Whitby, in under an hour. Hamsterley Forest is good for mountain biking, about half an hour away.
Included: all bedding and towels, dressing gowns, parking. There's a wood burner and we provide the first basket of logs. No pets.
