Biln'ora Lodge

Biln'ora Lodge is a barn conversion in Satley, near Durham. It's black timber-clad and sits on its own in the fields.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of the doubles and its shower room are on the ground floor. Upstairs, there's another double and a twin room that share a bathroom between them. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well finished and has things like underfloor heating.

The main room is open plan. Kitchen with an island, living area with a wood burner, and bifold doors that open onto the garden. The garden has a barbecue and looks out over the fields.

It's very quiet here. Good for walking straight from the door. You're on the edge of the North Pennines, so places like High Force waterfall and Hamsterley Forest are within half an hour. The Derwent Walk country park is close by for easier walks or cycling.

Durham city is about a 20 minute drive. The cathedral and castle are UNESCO World Heritage. There's a good market town in Barnard Castle too, which has the Bowes Museum. Beamish Museum is also about 30 minutes away.

For facilities, you've got the wood burner, wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage and parking on site. No pets.
