It's a good spot for walking or cycling. Paths start right from the village into the North Pennines. Stanhope is about six miles up the road. Durham is 16 miles away, so you can easily visit the cathedral and the city for a day.
If you drive for about half an hour you can get to places like Barnard Castle or Derwent Reservoir. The High Force waterfall is just over an hour away.
Facilities are what you'd expect: TV, wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
