The Old School

The Old School is in Frosterley. It used to be the village school, but it’s been done up as a holiday house. It’s big. Sleeps fifteen, has seven bedrooms and four bathrooms. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable.

The garden has a south-facing patio. You get nice views over the fields from the main living room and the master bedroom. The garden is fully enclosed.

Inside, it’s been renovated. It’s got all the usual things: a kitchen with a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, TVs. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs. We’ve got a cot and a highchair if you need them.

The house is next to our caravan park. They’re privately owned caravans, so it’s quiet over there. You might see people coming and going.

Frosterley has a shop about three minutes walk away. The pub is a bit further, maybe a ten-minute walk. They serve food.

It’s really walking and cycling country. You’re right on the edge of the North Pennines. For a day out, Barnard Castle is about half an hour’s drive. Durham City is maybe forty minutes. Newcastle is just over an hour. The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are both about an hour away, depending on which bit you're heading to.
