Riverview
Riverview is the farm cottage we did up a few years ago. It’s in Frosterley, right by the River Wear. You’re on your own, but it’s attached to the other cottage, so you might hear a bit of noise through the wall now and then. It’s very quiet here otherwise.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and two bathrooms. One bathroom is downstairs. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-equipped. Everything’s clean and works.
You can hear the river from the garden. The garden is yours to use, it’s got a patio with a table and a BBQ. There’s parking right outside.
The village shop is a five minute walk. The pub is a bit closer, about three minutes. They do food. For a bigger shop, you’d drive to Stanhope or Barnard Castle.
You’re in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty here. The Weardale Railway walks start nearby. For a proper day out, High Force waterfall is about a twenty minute drive. Barnard Castle is twenty five minutes, Durham is about forty.
The place has WiFi and a TV. There’s a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can leave a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring two dogs.
