Riverview is in Frosterley, over in Weardale. It's a converted farm building, so the walls are thick stone. You're right on the River Wear, just the garden and a path between you and it. It's very quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, everything works, but it's not a show home. You get what you need.
The local pub is about five minutes walk. It's a proper local, they do food. The village shop is a bit further, maybe seven minutes.
You're in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's all hills and river valleys here. For a good walk, the Weardale Way goes right past. If you drive, you're deep into the Durham Dales quickly. High Force waterfall is about half an hour north.
Barnard Castle is twenty minutes by car. The Bowes Museum is there. Durham city is about forty minutes drive. The cathedral is the main thing, the whole city centre is a World Heritage Site.
For facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them. Towels and bedding are included. Parking is right outside. You can bring two dogs.
