East Bridge End Farm is outside Frosterley, up a track off the main road. It's a proper old farmhouse, not fancy at all. It's on its own, so it's quiet. The view from the back is just fields and hills.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and has what you need, but it's a bit old-fashioned. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The stairs are steep, like in most old houses.
It's got an open fire in the living room. There's a wood burner too. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs or kids. You can fit two cars off the road.
You're three miles from Stanhope. That's where the shops and a couple of pubs are. There's a footpath from the cottage door if you want to walk from the house.
For a day out, you can drive into the Yorkshire Dales. It's about half an hour to get to the proper dales. The North Pennines are right on the doorstep. You can get to the edge of the Lake District or up to Northumberland in about an hour and a half if you don't mind the drive.
In the area, there's fishing on the Wear, and you can go horse riding nearby. The Weardale Railway starts in Stanhope.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and the basics. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
