Gew Cottage
This is Gew Cottage. It's a detached stone cottage near the village of Chynhale, about two miles outside Helston.
It's set back from a country lane and has its own parking area. There's a courtyard garden out the back with a firepit.
It sleeps four, with two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's not huge, but it's comfortable. There are low beams upstairs, watch your head.
The living room has a wood burner and the kitchen has a dishwasher. Towels and bedding are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
For walks, you can go straight from the door onto some public footpaths. The Penrose Estate is close by. That's a good walk down to Loe Bar and the coast path.
Porthleven is the nearest beach, about a ten minute drive. It's a proper harbour with pubs and restaurants. For surfing or a bigger beach, Gwithian is about twenty five minutes north.
Helston has your main shops. Falmouth is about twenty minutes away. That's got the maritime museum and Pendennis Castle. St Michael's Mount is under half an hour. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is about forty minutes.
