Pengarreg Fawr
Pengarreg Fawr is in Llanilar, about four miles inland from Aberystwyth. It's a big old house that sleeps up to twelve people. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped. The main room downstairs has a big inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. It's a good room for everyone to sit in.
The garden is large and flat, mostly lawn. There's a swim spa in it. That's a heated pool you can swim against. There's a gas barbecue for outside cooking.
On the ground floor there's a double bedroom and a wet room shower, which is useful if someone doesn't want to use the stairs. Upstairs, most of the bedrooms are. One is a family room with a king-size bed and two singles, and it has its own shower. The other rooms are doubles, and one can be set up as twins if you prefer. The main family bathroom has a bath with a shower over it.
There's parking for a few cars on the drive.
You can bring two dogs.
Aberystwyth is about a ten minute drive away. You've got the castle ruins, the promenade, and the beach there. The cliff railway up Constitution Hill gives you a good view of the bay. The Arts Centre on the university campus has shows and exhibitions.
For a day out, you're about half an hour from the Bwlch Nant yr Arian forestry centre, which has walking trails and a red kite feeding spot. Devil's Bridge and the Vale of Rheidol Railway are in that direction too.
