Maesbangor Farmhouse is on the edge of Dolypandy, about four miles from Aberystwyth. It's a big semi-detached place, over seven bedrooms, so it's really for a large group. It sleeps up to 14. Previously it was two houses knocked into one, which is why there are two kitchens and two living rooms. It's useful if you've got two families holidaying together.
The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and well-equipped. There are six bathrooms overall, most of the bedrooms are en-suite. There are also two wood burners, one in the main dining room.
The front looks out over the Rheidol Valley. The views are good. There's an enclosed garden with a patio and a hot tub out there. The conservatory leads onto it.
Just something to note: because it was two houses, there are two separate staircases. They're both fine, just normal house stairs.
There's a local pub about half a mile away that does food. A shop is the same distance. Aberystwyth is about ten minutes by car. That's where you'll find the seafront, the pier, and the cliff railway. The beach is about six miles.
If you're looking for a day out, the Vale of Rheidol steam railway runs from Aberystwyth up to Devil's Bridge. The walking around there is good. The Cambrian Mountains are right on the doorstep for more serious walks. You can drive down to Cardigan Bay quite easily.
Facilities cover most things. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. It's listed as wheelchair accessible at the entrance. You can bring up to two pets.
