Maesbangor Farmhouse is in Dolypandy, just outside Aberystwyth. It's a big, semi-detached farmhouse that sleeps fourteen. We made it by knocking two houses together, so it's got plenty of space.
There are seven bedrooms and six bathrooms. Most bedrooms have their own shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not too fussy.
The front looks right out over the Rheidol Valley. There's a hot tub in the front garden. Inside, there are two living rooms, both with wood burners. One has a big TV. There's a large dining room with a wood burner too, and a conservatory that leads out to a small, enclosed terrace.
There are two kitchens. The main one is a good size with a breakfast area. The second one is smaller but has everything you need. Useful if you've got a big group.
Aberystwyth is about fifteen minutes' drive west. It's a proper seaside town with a promenade and a pier. The beach is shingle and sand. You can sometimes see dolphins from there.
To the east, you've got the Cambrian Mountains. Good walking country. The Vale of Rheidol Railway steam train runs from Aberystwyth up to Devil's Bridge, which is worth the trip. The falls and the walking there are good.
There's a shop and a pub that does food about half a mile away. The pub is a gastro pub, so a bit nicer than your average.
Facilities: everything's included. Bedding, towels, wifi, parking. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, highchair and cot. The entrance is wheelchair accessible. You can bring up to two dogs.
