Tyllwyd Farmhouse is near Maes Bangor, outside Aberystwyth. It's a detached stone farmhouse from the Victorian era on about 80 acres of farmland. The views across the Rheidol Valley are really good.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite shower room in the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The floors are original flagstones in some parts, so they're hard and a bit uneven. The stairs are normal.
The kitchen is big, with a range cooker and a pulley dryer for clothes. It opens into the dining area. The living room has a wood burner. There's a separate games room with table football and a dartboard.
The garden is large and enclosed. There's a fire pit and a barbecue. You can park on site.
It's a working farm with cattle and sheep. Pets are welcome, one dog is allowed.
The nearest pub is in Goginan, about a mile and a half east along the A44. Aberystwyth is about ten minutes' drive west. That's where you'll find most of the shops, restaurants, and the cinema.
The Vale of Rheidol steam railway is nearby. You can get on at Capel Bangor station and it goes up to Devil's Bridge to see the waterfalls. The Vale of Rheidol Railway website has timetables.
For walking, the coast path is easily reached. There's horse riding about a mile and a half away. Fishing is available locally, but you need a licence and a permit from the Aberystwyth Angling Association.
Bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. WiFi is available.
