Dyffryn Haidd is our place in Llanafan, Ceredigion. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level except for the two upstairs bedrooms. Sleeps six. Three bathrooms, which is handy with a few of you.
The views are good. It looks out over the fields towards the hills. There's a garden that's fully enclosed, which is useful if you've got dogs or kids.
Inside, it's straightforward. The kitchen is big enough for a family to cook in. We've put a table tennis table and a dartboard in the garage. It's nothing fancy, but it's something to do if the weather turns.
A few things to mention. The upstairs bedrooms are under the eaves, so mind your head if you're tall. The shower in the main bathroom is a power one, it's good. The stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are steeper than a normal house.
Location wise, it's quiet. You're about four miles from the nearest pub and shop in Pontrhydfendigaid. The Ceredigion coast is roughly half an hour's drive. Aberystwyth is about a twenty minute drive. They've got the usual seaside things there, and the Cliff Railway up Constitution Hill is worth it for the view.
If you like walking, you're right in it. The Cambrian Mountains are on the doorstep. Devil's Bridge is five miles away, where you can get the Vale of Rheidol steam railway down to the coast.
For facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels included. Parking for a couple of cars. We take up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
Fishing is available locally, day tickets are about twenty pounds. You can get the details when you book if you're interested.
