Bryntrisant

Bryntrisant is in Devil's Bridge, Ceredigion. It's an old miner's cottage from around the 1840s, detached and on its own. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating.

The front door opens into a boot room with a toilet. Then you're into the main living space, which is all one room. The stone walls are exposed and there's a big fireplace with a wood burner. The view from the windows is over fields towards the Cambrian hills. The stairs are steep, it's that sort of cottage.

Upstairs are the two bedrooms and a shower room. The showers are the rain head type.

Outside is an enclosed garden with a bench and a table. There's a shed you can use for bikes or walking gear.

You're a couple of miles from Devil's Bridge village, which is famous for the waterfalls. You can walk down to the bottom, but be warned, the steps are very steep. The Vale of Rheidol steam train runs from there to Aberystwyth.

Aberystwyth is about a 20 minute drive. It's a university town on the coast. You can get supermarkets there. The electric cliff railway goes up Constitution Hill for the view.

Just up the road is the Bwlch Nant Yr Arian forest centre. They feed red kites daily, so you can see dozens of them. Good for walks and mountain biking too.

The Hafod Estate is nearby, with marked walking trails through the woods.

In terms of what's here: the wood burner, WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels are all included. There's parking on the drive. No pets, sorry.
