The Pendre Longbarn

The Pendre Longbarn is near Cwmystwyth, in the Ystwyth Valley. It's a restored barn, all on one level. It's detached and you've got the garden to yourselves.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is an en-suite to the master bedroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. The owners have put a lot into it. The main room is open plan with big doors out to the deck. There's a firepit and a barbecue out there.

The master bedroom has a big free-standing bath in the en-suite. The other two bedrooms have some special lighting features, one with a 'cosmic' ceiling effect and one with twinkly lights around the bed. The family bathroom has a copper sink in an oak barrel. There's also a separate toilet.

The access road is unmade stone and it's not lit, so take it steady when you arrive.

You're right in the Hafod Estate, which is forestry land with restored historic walks. You can see red kites from the garden. The estate is good for walking straight from the door.

There's a pub about four miles away. For a supermarket, you'll need to go to Aberystwyth, which is about twelve miles. Some people order a grocery delivery for when they arrive.

Devil's Bridge and the Vale of Rheidol steam railway are nearby. The coast at Aberystwyth and other Ceredigion beaches is about a 30-minute drive.

Facilities include a woodburner, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. Two pets are welcome. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
