Ty Mari is in Cwmystwyth, up in the Cambrian Mountains. It's an old stone cottage, one of a pair at the end of a terrace. The views from here are good, just open hills really.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean and comfortable but not brand new. The stairs are original cottage stairs.
Inside, the main room is all open plan with beamed ceilings. There's a big stone fireplace with an electric stove. The kitchen is fine for holiday cooking. The bathroom has a bath with a hand-held shower attachment, but there's no proper shower cubicle.
Mobile signal isn't great up here, but there's a landline for emergencies and the WiFi works. Outside, you get your own fenced garden. There's also a separate garden room with power and heating if you want to sit out there.
There's a shop and a pub about three miles away in Pontrhydygroes. For a bigger shop, Aberystwyth is about a 30 minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with a promenade and a ruined castle you can walk up to.
If you're walking, you're on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains. For a day out, the National Trust has a few places like the Elan Valley nearby, which is all reservoirs and good walking tracks.
The place has parking, a washing machine, and bedding is included. We take up to two dogs. If you need more space, the cottage next door connects through a soundproofed door and you can book both together.
