Bryncrwn Cottage Blaenplwyf

Bryncrwn Cottage is on a working sheep farm just outside Blaenplwyf. It's about three miles inland from the coast. You turn off the main road up the track and it's just there, on its own.

It used to be part of the farm buildings. We converted it. It's detached, so no one else is attached to the walls. You get the whole place and the garden to yourselves. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. The master bedroom has doors out to the patio. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The main thing is the view. Every room looks out over the valley towards Aberystwyth and the hills. You can see the sea from the front. It's very quiet up here, just sheep.

Aberystwyth is about a ten minute drive. That's where the supermarkets are, the cinema, the normal town stuff. The nearest pub and a small shop are in Llanfarian, about three miles away.

The coast path is easily accessible. You can be at Borth beach or Clarach in under ten minutes by car. For a longer walk, the Visit Wales walking pages are useful. If you like history, Aberystwyth Castle is right on the seafront.

For a day out, you can drive south to Cardigan or north to Machynlleth in under half an hour. The Dyfi Valley is lovely.

Facilities: there's parking right outside, a wood burner, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
