Cliff Railway Apartment
Cliff Railway Apartment is in Aberystwyth, right on the promenade at the north end. It's above the ticket office for the cliff railway. You can see the sea from the kitchen window.

You get free passes for the cliff railway during your stay. It's a slow ride to the top, about four miles an hour. At the summit there's a camera obscura, a cafe, and good views. The cafe was in the Hinterland TV series.
The beach and promenade are a minute's walk away. The town has shops, places to eat, the castle ruins, and the National Library. The pier is a short stroll along the front.
The Vale of Rheidol steam train leaves from Aberystwyth. It goes to Devil's Bridge. That's about a 40 minute drive, or you can take the train.
Other places within half an hour: Ynyslas dunes for walks, Bwlch Nant-yr-Arian forest to see red kites being fed, and the Hafod Estate for woodland walks. The Visit Ceredigion site has more ideas.
