Morolwg

This is Morolwg. It's in Borth in Ceredigion. The cottage is right across the road from the beach.

It's bigger inside than it looks. There's two bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy. The front bedrooms get a glimpse of the sea. The back looks out over fields to the hills.

The beach is sandy. At very low tide, you can see the stumps of an old forest that's usually underwater. It's a bit strange but worth seeing.

The place sleeps four and we can take two dogs. It's got a 4 Star rating so everything is in good order. There's a woodburner for colder evenings. The garden is enclosed. We provide bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, and wi-fi.

You can walk to the shop and a couple of pubs in about five minutes. One does food. Borth has a golf course too.

If you like walking, the coast path runs right through. You can walk north to Ynyslas and its big sand dunes, which is a nature reserve. The Dyfi Osprey project is a short drive away.

Aberystwyth is about seven miles down the coast. It's got the usual seaside stuff: a long prom, shops, places to eat. The cliff railway there goes up Constitution Hill. On a clear day you can see Snowdonia.

Other places within about half an hour's drive are Aberaeron, which is a pretty harbour town, and New Quay.
