Sunny Shores Aberdovey

This is Sunny Shores, in Aberdovey. It's a cottage right near the beach. The road it's on slopes down towards the sea. You can see a bit of the water from the front upstairs window.

It's an old fisherman's cottage, so the rooms are on the small side. It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's clean and warm.

The stairs are the original cottage stairs. They're steep and a bit narrow. Something to be aware of if you've got bad knees or small children.

You're about a hundred yards from the beach. The main pub is maybe two minutes' walk away. There's a shop close by too. The beach is sandy and very long. Good for walking the dog or just sitting. It's part of the Mid Wales Coast.

The cottage has a small enclosed back garden. There's a patio area with a table and a barbecue. It's a sun-trap in the afternoon.

Aberdovey is on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Good for walks straight from the door. The Talyllyn Railway and Corris Craft Centre are about a twenty-minute drive inland. For a longer day out, you can drive to Machynlleth or up towards Cadair Idris in under half an hour.

Inside, there's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. It has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed, but I'd check the gate fastening if you have a real escape artist.
