Dolphin Beach House is a terraced house in Tywyn, right on the seafront. The beach is literally over the road. It sleeps up to nine, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating.
The house is an older property, so the rooms are a decent size but the layout is a bit up and down. There are steps between some rooms. It gives you space for a big group, which can be hard to find. We have a travel cot if you need one.
You get the little courtyard garden at the back. It's not huge, but it's enclosed and catches the sun. There's a sofa bed in the living room to fit the extra two people if required.
Being on the front, you look straight out over Cardigan Bay. We've seen dolphins from the windows. You can walk for miles on the beach. The Wales Coastal Path runs right past the front door if you want to head off in either direction.
Tywyn town is a five-minute walk along the front. There are shops, a few cafes, and places to eat. The Talyllyn Railway station is there too.
For a bigger day out, Cader Idris is about a 15-minute drive for walking. The whole Snowdonia National Park is on your doorstep. You can drive to Machynlleth in under half an hour, or Barmouth a bit further along the coast.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. We include bedding and towels. There's a wood burner for colder evenings. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs.
