Pebble Cottage
Pebble Cottage is in Aberdovey. It's a one-up-one-down fisherman's cottage for two people. It's right on the main street, about a minute's walk from the beach. The front door opens straight onto the pavement.
The rating is 4 Star. It's been done up inside, so it's comfortable and clean. It's open plan downstairs, with the kitchen and living area together. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Upstairs is the bedroom and a shower room. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, which is normal for a place this old.
There's a separate little garden out the back. You get to it by going down the side of the cottage and up some steps. It's enclosed, so it's private, and you can sit out there. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
Aberdovey is a proper seaside village. The pub is just up the road, about a hundred yards. There are shops and a few places to eat a few minutes' walk away. The beach is sand and it's very long. You can walk for miles if the tide's out.
It's good for walks straight from the door. You can go along the coast or up into the hills behind the town, as it's on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The golf course is at the far end of the beach.
If you drive, you can get to the Talyllyn Railway at Tywyn in about ten minutes. Machynlleth is about twenty minutes away. The Cadw and National Trust sites in the area are good for wet days.
In terms of what's here: WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are all included. There's parking for one car, which is a space on the street a short walk from the cottage. You can bring up to two dogs. The garden is fully enclosed so they're safe out there.
