Maldwyn

Maldwyn is a detached cottage in Bryncrug. It’s not remote, it’s on a village road, but the garden is private and enclosed.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There’s one bathroom, downstairs. You can sleep on the ground floor if you need to, the main bedroom is there. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and they connect to each other, which is handy if you’re with kids. The stairs in the house are normal.

The kitchen has what you’d expect. There’s a washing machine and a dishwasher. The conservatory is a nice spot, it looks out over the garden and the fields behind. Parking is easy, for up to three cars.

It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s well looked after. We take one well-behaved dog.

The village has a pub you can walk to. Tywyn is about two miles away for the shops, a leisure centre, and the beach. Aberdovey is a bit further, maybe six miles. They’ve got a nice harbour and a good sandy beach.

For walking, you’re spoiled. Cader Idris is about a 20 minute drive away if you want a proper mountain. There are loads of waterfalls and trails much closer. The Snowdonia National Park site has good information if you’re planning routes.

It’s a straightforward house in a good location for the coast and the hills.
