Gwynt Y Môr is a bungalow in a quiet part of Tywyn. The reason for the name is, the sea is just down the road. Two minutes and you're on the promenade. You can see the beach from there.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on one floor which is handy. The back has an enclosed courtyard with a table. There's parking for one car on the drive.
The inside is straightforward. Living room, kitchen with a washing machine, bedrooms are a decent size. Wi-fi is included. We provide the bedding and towels.
In Tywyn itself, there are a couple of supermarkets and some local shops. The beach is sandy. There's crazy golf and a putting green on the promenade. The Talyllyn Railway is there too. It's a narrow-gauge steam train that goes up the valley. They have a museum at the station.
Aberdyfi is about ten minutes' drive south. Nice harbour, a few pubs and places to eat. People go crabbing off the jetty. To the north, Barmouth is about twenty minutes. The bridge there is famous. The Mawddach Trail starts there, it's a good flat path for walking or cycling along the estuary.
You're right on the edge of Snowdonia. For walking, you're close to Bird Rock and Castell y Bere. The Snowdonia National Park site has good information. Also, for more local history, Visit Wales North is useful.
Facilities: there's the washing machine, a TV, wi-fi, a cot and highchair if needed, and that enclosed patio area. No pets, I'm afraid. The parking is on site.
