Hoot House

It's called Hoot House. It's in Abergynolwyn, which is a little village in Snowdonia. A twenty minute drive gets you to Tywyn or Aberdyfi. The house is detached, so no neighbours through the walls.

It sleeps six, maybe seven with the sofa bed, but I'd stick to six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. It's not huge, but it's got everything. The kitchen is open plan with the living area. There's underfloor heating downstairs which is good, and a conservatory on the back.

We've got a games room in the outhouse with table football and a chess board. The garden is enclosed. There's parking for two cars on the drive.

You've got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, all the normal stuff. Bedding and towels are included. No pets sorry.

The local pub is about a five minute walk. They do food. The nearest proper shop is a drive, about seven miles to a supermarket in Tywyn.

If you like walking, you can do the Dolgoch Falls walk right from the door. It's about two and a half miles there. The old slate quarry trail is interesting and the views are big. For a bigger day, Cadair Idris is about a twenty minute drive away.

The Talyllyn Railway station is in the village. You can get the steam train down to Tywyn. The beach there is good, and you can walk along the sand to Aberdyfi if the tide's right. Then get the train back.
