Hoot House is a cottage in Abergynolwyn. It's in the valley, in Snowdonia National Park. You'll need a car.
It's detached, so no neighbours on the other side of the wall. Sleeps six, three bedrooms. Two bathrooms which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable, things work, and it's clean.
You get the whole garden. There's a patio area with a BBQ, and a shed if you bring bikes. Parking is right there on the drive.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. The kitchen has everything you'd need, dishwasher too. There's a conservatory with underfloor heating. Upstairs, the bedrooms are fine. Nothing fancy, but they do the job.
There's a games room with table football and a chess set. The TV is large and has satellite channels. WiFi is included.
The local pub is about a quarter of a mile walk. It's a proper village pub, does food. The nearest shop for a big shop is in Tywyn, about seven miles away.
For things to do, you're right in it. You can walk to the Dolgoch Falls from the door, it's a couple of miles. The old Talyllyn Railway station is in the village. You can get the steam train down to Tywyn on the coast. Tywyn has a beach. From there you can walk along the shore to Aberdyfi if you're feeling energetic.
Driving opens up more. Cadair Idris is about a 30-minute drive if you want a proper mountain walk. The coast at Aberdyfi and Fairbourne is 15-20 minutes away. For a wider view of the area, the National Trust Snowdonia and Snowdonia National Park Authority sites are useful.
Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. No pets allowed, sorry.
