Eithinog

It's called Eithinog. That's just the Welsh word for gorse, which grows here. It's not a modern cottage. It was a cow and calf shed, part of the old farm here. We turned it into a house next to another one called Helygen. They're together but separate, if you see what I mean. You'd have your own bit.

It's on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains, on a farm. You get views over the fields and, if you walk up the hill behind, a view right out to the coast. It's quiet. You'll hear sheep.

It sleeps six, in two bedrooms. Both have their own shower room. It's got a 5 Star rating so it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's not huge, but it's done properly.

Talybont village is about a mile away. There's a shop there and a couple of good pubs that do food. For a bigger town, Aberystwyth is about fifteen minutes by car. You've got the promenade, the university, and the cliff railway there.

If you like walking, you're set. The Cambrian Mountains are right there. For something different, Bwlch Nant Yr Arian is a Forestry place about twenty minutes away. They feed the red kites every day at 3pm. It's quite something to see. The beach at Ynyslas and the sand dunes are about half an hour's drive.

You can get dolphin watching boat trips from Aberaeron or New Quay, which are both within half an hour. Cardigan Bay is known for them.

For facilities, it's got what you'd need. Woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. There's parking right outside. The garden is enclosed. You can bring one dog.
