Horseshoe Cottage is here on the farm in North Beer. It's a detached stone cottage, part of a working farm, so you might see us going about our jobs. You'll see people, tractors, sheep, the usual farm stuff. It's not loud, but it's not silent either.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both upstairs. The master has a king-size bed and its own shower room. The other bedroom has twin beds and they use the second bathroom, which is downstairs. The stairs are quite steep and narrow, typical for a cottage this old.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. We allow up to two. The patio doors open from the kitchen, and there's proper on-site parking.
The decor is simple. It's a four-star place, which means it’s got what you need and it's kept clean and tidy. There's a wood burner in the living room, and the original fireplace is still there with an old clome oven. The kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included.
For things to do, Launceston is a short drive for shops. Bodmin Moor is about twenty minutes for walks. Tintagel and Port Isaac are good for the coast, about half an hour away. Bude takes maybe 20 minutes if you want the beach or the sea pool. Padstow is busy but the seafood is good, also about half an hour.
