It's called Milkman's Barn, in Huntley. It's on a working farm, so you drive down a track past fields to get there. It's quiet.
It sleeps up to 14 people, which is unusual. There are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, which is useful. The stairs go up to two large super-king bedrooms, and there's a sort of wooden stable door partition between them. It's original, from when it was a barn.
Downstairs is mostly one big open room. Kitchen at one end, sofas and a big table at the other. The kitchen is well fitted, with a dishwasher and a big range cooker. The second living area is upstairs, with two sofa beds. Good for kids to have their own space.
Outside, there's a paved courtyard with a BBQ and a wood-fired hot tub. You have to light the hot tub yourself, it takes a few hours to heat up. The farm has big fields you can walk in, and they're enclosed, so dogs are fine.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. Washing machine, WiFi, bedding included, all that. Parking for a few cars right outside.
For things to do, you're near the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley. Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has walking routes. Cheltenham is about 20 minutes by car for shops and the racecourse. Stow-on-the-Wold and Bourton-on-the-Water are in easy reach, too. If you like historic houses, there's Snowshill Manor and a few others within half an hour.
The local pub is a short drive away. They do food.
