Bwthyn Y Celyn

This is Bwthyn Y Celyn in Conwy. It's a detached little cottage for two people, though it has two bedrooms. One double downstairs and a twin room up in the loft.

It's a five-star place, so everything is in good order and it's well looked after. The kitchen is open plan with the living area. You have your own patio and you're welcome to use the main gardens of Bryn Guest House next door. They've won awards for them.

There are a couple of things to know. The stairs to the loft room are a ship's ladder. They're steep and open. The ceiling is low up there too. It's fine if you're okay with that, but it's worth mentioning.

You're right on the edge of Conwy town. It's a five minute walk to the castle walls and the quay. The town has everything: pubs, a small supermarket, butcher, cafes. The medieval walls are complete and you can walk all the way round them. The castle is run by Cadw.

For a walk, Conwy Mountain is just behind the town. The path starts near the cottage. You get a great view over the estuary. Bodnant Garden, which is National Trust, is about a twenty minute drive. Abergwyngregyn and Aber Falls are about half an hour away. Llandudno is ten minutes by car.

Facilities are all here. Wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's an electric vehicle charger on site. On street parking is usually available right outside.
