Hyfrydle

This is Hyfrydle. It's our place in Llandudno. If you know the town, it's on the way up the Great Orme, in a quiet row. It's an end terrace.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.

The main thing to know is the stairs. They're in the original part of the cottage and they're steep. We've put a stairgate at the bottom for safety. Just mind your head going up.

You get a small patio garden out the back with a table. It's enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. We take one pet. There's parking for one car on the drive.

Everything you need is in the house: a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, towels and bedding are all included. We've also got a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Location is the big selling point. You're up on the Orme, so it's peaceful, but you can walk down into town in about 15 minutes. The walk back up is a bit of a climb, but you can get a bus or a taxi if you don't fancy it. There's a local shop and a pub about the same distance away.

Right opposite the house is the 9-hole golf course. The view from just up the road looks right out over the bay and the town. It's very good. The tramway station for the Great Orme is a short walk away. The Bronze Age copper mines up there are worth a visit.

Llandudno itself has the pier, the beach, and the theatre. Conwy with its castle is about a 15 minute drive. If you want to go into the mountains, Snowdonia National Park is maybe half an hour's drive to Betws-y-Coed. Anglesey is accessible over the Menai Bridge, also about 30 minutes.

That's about it. It's a good base. Useful links: Visit Conwy and Llandudno's own site have decent information for planning.
