Explore Tintagel itself, with its atmospheric castle of two halves, joined by a feat of modern engineering, a footbridge boasting outstanding views below and around you as you cross from one side to the other! The town also has a plethora of gift shops, pubs and restaurants along with the National Trust’s fascinating Old Post Office. The South-West Coast Path stretches along some of the most rugged cliffs in the southwest, where majestic promontories overlook secluded beaches with golden sands and crashing Atlantic surf.
A quick drive will also take you to beautiful Boscastle, site of the infamous floods in 2004, or the traditional fishing village of Port Isaac where lovely narrow lanes lead to the charming harbour and beach that Port Isaac is so famous for. Along with its fictitious famous TV character, Doc Martin. The beaches in the area, including Trebarwith Strand and secluded Bossiney Cove amongst them provide rock pools, inlets and swathes of golden sand, perfect for children of all ages to enjoy to the full!
