The Cottage
The Cottage is in Brynrefail on Anglesey. It's detached, so no one's attached to you. The main thing is the view. You look out over the Menai Strait towards the Snowdonia mountains. You get the whole thing from the living room and the garden.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. It's a bungalow, so all on one level. No stairs to worry about.
The living room has French doors that open onto a patio and a lawn. There's a table out there. On a nice evening, you just sit there with a drink and look at the view. It's a simple thing, but it's the best thing about the place.
Lligwy Beach is about a three quarter mile walk down the lane. It's sandy and good for a swim if you're brave. The Coastal Path runs along there. For a proper day at the beach, Benllech is a short drive the other way.
There's a pub that does food about three quarters of a mile away. The nearest shop is in Benllech, about five minutes in the car.
If you want to go out, Beaumaris is about twenty minutes by car. It has the castle and places to eat. The National Trust has a few spots on the island, like Penmon Point. The Visit Anglesey site has maps for walking and cycling. Snowdonia is half an hour's drive if you want mountains.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect. TV, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
