Beach Cottage is in Benllech on Anglesey. It's right by the sea, maybe a two minute walk to the beach. It's an upside-down house, so the living area is upstairs. The main reason for that is the view.
The view from the lounge is the best thing about it. You look straight over the beach and the sea. On a clear day you can see Puffin Island and the Great Orme in the distance. There's a balcony off the lounge now, so you can sit outside with a coffee and just look at it.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. We had it completely renovated a couple of years ago, so everything's new and it's very warm.
It's quiet. It's set back from the road with its own courtyard. You get one parking space right there, and we can usually sort a second if you ask.
The beach is dog friendly and so is the cottage. You can bring two. There's an outside tap for washing sandy paws.
In the village, there's a shop and a pub about 200 yards away. There's also a cafe right by the beach. A walk along the coastal path takes you to Red Wharf Bay, which has a couple of good places to eat.
If you're driving, Beaumaris with its castle is about twenty minutes. The Plas Newydd house and gardens are a similar distance. The whole coast is good for walking. There's a golf club a mile and a half away.
In terms of what's here: parking, WiFi, a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. You can smoke on the patio or balcony, but not inside.
For planning days out, Visit Anglesey is useful, as is the National Trust for North Wales.
