Sailfish

This place is called Sailfish. It's in Benllech on Anglesey. It's a mews house, so it's one of those tucked-away cottages usually built in a row. It's upside-down, which means you walk in on the ground floor to the bedrooms, and you go upstairs to the living area.

The reason they did that is for the view. From the upstairs living room window you can see right over Benllech beach. On a clear day you can see Puffin Island, the Great Orme, and even the mountains in Snowdonia. It's a good view.

It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. The stairs inside are a normal staircase, not a steep cottage one.

The beach is about a hundred yards away. It's a big, sandy beach, good for kids. The path down is easy. There's a shop about five minutes walk, and a pub and a restaurant are both really close.

If you want to go out, Beaumaris is a short drive. Nice town, has a castle. The Beaumaris Castle is worth a look. The Menai Strait is there for sailing or boat trips. For longer walks, the National Trust has a few sites on the island, and the Anglesey Coastal Path is all around you.

Snowdonia is about a 30 minute drive if you want proper mountains. You can get to Llanberis or the Ogwen Valley within that time.

For what's here: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. The garden is enclosed, which is handy. Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one dog.
