Bettws Y Gwynt
Bettws Y Gwynt is in Llanbedrgoch on Anglesey. It's a detached house on a smallholding, so the views are all fields. It's quiet.
It sleeps eight over four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. Being Grade II listed, the walls are thick and the windows are small. It's old. That means it's full of character but don't expect everything to be perfectly level. The doors are a bit heavy.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids. There's parking right there.
Inside, you've got the basics: a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included.
The local pub is about a mile walk down the lane. It's a proper village pub. The nearest shop is about the same distance.
The coast is close. Benllech beach is a few minutes in the car, maybe two miles. It's good sand for building castles. Red Wharf Bay and Lligwy are also nearby if you want a change of scene. The whole island coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
If you like walking, there's the coastal path. The Gors Goch nature reserve is right on the doorstep. For a bigger day out, Snowdonia is a half-hour drive. The Snowdonia National Park website has good walking routes.
Other things nearby: there's a golf course, and places you can hire bikes. Beaumaris is worth a visit for the castle. The Plas Newydd house and gardens are National Trust.
