This is Copper Crab Cottage, in Amlwch on Anglesey. It's on a quiet row of terraced houses, up the hill from the harbour. You can see the sea from the front door.
It's a one-up-one-down, so it's best for a couple. There's a living room with a wood burner downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs. The stairs are the original ones, so they're narrow and a bit steep. Mind your head on the way up.
The back garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you have dogs. It gets the sun in the evening. There's a table and chairs and a barbecue out there.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It means it's well looked after, comfortable, and everything works. The kitchen has a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are all included.
You can bring two dogs. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
Amlwch itself is a proper old port town. The big thing here is the copper mining history. The Parys Mountain mines are just on the edge of town. The landscape up there is like another planet, all orange and bare. You can walk around it. It's fascinating.
The coast path is right there. You can walk from the cottage down to the old harbour and then along the cliffs. The sea is very close. For a bigger beach, Cemaes Bay is about ten minutes drive north. There's good fishing locally if that's your thing.
Holyhead is about twenty minutes away by car if you need a big supermarket. The rest of Anglesey is easy to get to. The bridge to the mainland is only half an hour away if you fancied a trip to Snowdonia.
